Sreesanth Beyond Cricket (Part 1-musician)

Sreesanth is a Muti-tasker, he is literally an all rounder. After exemplary performances in cricket, the other part of him reveals him to a fantastic musician. Here I have focused on the musical aspect of his repertoire(beware he still has more aspects to him..read on and find out!)

Sreesanth’s new Venture the S36 Band was officially launched on January 30th in a curtain raiser at JT pac here in Cochin. Along with his brother in law and popular singer Madhu Balakrishanan he is making his dream come true . Music was always been a passion for the Kerala Express. The curtain raiser features Sreesanth and his band like never before . In the curtain raiser event:
S Sreesanth has dedicated a song to the Indian team for their good performance in the Cricket World Cup while showcasing his S-36 band in Kerala. He sang two songs written by him, including one for the Indian World cup squad during the curtain raiser show of his S-36 band.
The first number is in Hindi “Hello Sher Banke Tu Jung lad le” (fight the battle like a Tiger) and another song was a romantic number in Tamil ”Anbulla Azhake”. The show was held at the Jose Thomas Performing Centre in Kerala.
He had named this band as S-36 as S stands for Sreesanth and 36 being his lucky jersey number.
Audience who were present at the show was happy to see their cricketer in new avatar. Along with singing he anchored the show and also shows his dancing abilities on a Hindi number from film “Kaminey”.
His band includes playback singer Madhu Balakrishnan, Deepak Warrier and Kamran Ahamed, who sang ‘Lambi Judai’ in the Emran Hashmi starrer ‘Jannat’.
He told that this was the first curtain raiser show of their band and similarly many shows will be hosted in other cities as well.
The band will make its formal launch in Dubai after IPL IV but before this mega event they plans to perform similar shows in Bangalore, Mumbai and Chandigarh.
Deepak Warrier said that it is expected that many Bollywood and South Indian stars will participate in the Dubai event.
